It will depend on your injury and your road to recovery. You may need to get a medical certificate from your GP/Physio before you can attend, or start with a private class to assess if classes will be appropriate in the future. It’s best to speak to one of our Trainers before participating in a class to make sure you’re not putting yourself at risk of further damage.
Yes, we offer both 1-on-1 and 2-on-1 Private Classes. If you would like Private Classes with training tailored to your specific needs, please contact your local studio directly.

Classes need a minimum of 2 clients to proceed. Classes will be cancelled up to 2 hours before the start time of the class if there are less than 2 people booked in.
When starting at KX Pilates, we ask that you attend at least 4-6 Beginner classes to familiarise yourself with our dynamic training method, basic principles and exercises before proceeding to an Intermediate class.
We then recommend completing 20-30 Intermediate classes before trying out the Advanced classes. Once you’ve achieved an Advanced level you can mix and match classes to suit.
Not sure if you’re ready to change springs? Chat to your trainer, and they’ll let you know if you’re ready to up a class level.
With a maximum of 14 clients per class, our classes can get booked out. We recommend adding yourself to the wait list for that class by booking yourself into the class as you would normally. Once you add yourself to a wait list, you’ll receive an email confirmation of your request. When a place becomes available in the class you will be notified via sms or email.
To ensure fairness for all clients and to allow those on the wait list an opportunity to attend a class, once notified, you will have two hours to reply using the link supplied in the SMS or email.
If you do not respond withing the two hour window, or decline your place, you will be removed from the wait list and the place will be offered to the next KXer on the wait list. If you confirm your place you’ll receive another notification confirming your place.
All of our classes include a warm up and a cool down. If you are more than 5 minutes late to your class then you may not be able to join, and your Trainer may turn you away from the class.
Unfortunately, no. We have a 9 hour cancellation policy for group classes and a 24 hour cancellation policy for private classes.
If you can’t make your class, please cancel or let us know at least 9 hours ahead (for group classes) or 24 hours ahead (for private classes) or you will lose that session.
We understand that life can sometimes get in the way, but we need to be fair to all clients.
Everyone is welcome. With small group classes (up to a maximum of 14) our Trainers can modify exercises to accommodate each individual’s ability, allowing you to work at their own pace.
Appropriate clothing is essential as you are going to work up a sweat.
For safety and hygiene reasons, grip socks are required to complete a your workout.
Aside from this, we recommend gym tights, leggings or shorts and either a t-shirt or singlet top.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to your first class. That way you’ll have time to familiarise yourself with the studio, meet your trainer and have a quick run down on the reformer.
If you’re late to your first class you might not be able to train.
You should always start with a Beginner class, even if you have done Pilates elsewhere or are quite fit.
KX Pilates uses a lot of small muscle groups, you’ll be surprised how challenging the class might be and may need to build up your strength.
You also need to familiarise yourself with the KX Pilates training method so that you can keep pace in our more advanced classes.
That depends on the individual.
Most of our new clients do just fine attending a Beginner class, with a maximum of 14 clients, the Trainer can modify exercises to suit differing abilities. Although still a workout, classes are broken down using simple exercises so all everyone can get the most out of their workout.
If you have chronic back pain, are coming back from an injury or are pregnant, a one-on-one session would be best to assess your situation.
We do however reserve the right for Owners and/or trainers to restrict clients to a particular class type for safety reasons if necessary.
