Welcome to Week 1 of the KX3 Challenge!
For week 1, we’re focussing on the Pilates Box—a versatile prop designed to support, challenge, and enhance your KX Reformer Pilates experience. Whether you’re building strength, improving mobility, or refining technique, the Box encourages deeper engagement and greater control in your movements.
WHY YOU’LL LOVE THE PILATES BOX
The Box can be placed longways or shortways on the carriage, as well as beside the Reformer, allowing for different set-ups to suit your needs. It’s more than just a support tool—it supports you to increase your range and challenge your stability. By adjusting its position, the Box can make movements more accessible or add a whole new layer of intensity to your workout.
HOW THE BOX CAN ELEVATE YOUR WORKOUT
More Support & Stability – Sitting on the Box for upper body exercises provides a grounded and comfortable position, while also increasing the load on the upper body for that extra burn.
Stronger Alignment – When in a 4-point kneel, the curved edge under your hands helps support wrist positioning.
Increased Mobility – Lying on the Box, on your back or front, allows for a greater range of motion and feel-good mobility through the spine.
Added Challenge – Using the Box for lunges, planks, or balance work activates stabilising muscles and creates even more opportunity to challenge yourself.
YOUR FOCUS THIS WEEK
Week 1 is about finding your rhythm—both in your movement and in your routine. As you settle into the challenge, focus on building consistency with 3 classes per week, setting personal goals, and laying the foundation for the weeks ahead.
